For many
years all utility expenses for Stanford's core academic buildings
have been the responsibility of the University's Budget Office. With
the Energy Conservation Incentive Program, responsibility for
academic electricity expenses has been shifted "down" in the
organization to twenty-one Budget Units. Under this program, your
School or administrative unit has an opportunity to benefit directly
by reducing electricity use.
Every
person on campus, from undergraduate to professor emeritus, can make
some simple changes in everyday habits and common purchasing
decisions that reduce electricity use, usually with no detriment to
comfort or performance.
If you
have questions or comments about promoting the Energy Conservation
Incentive Program in your department, please contact the office of
your Dean, Vice Provost, or Vice
President. |
